Jakarta, Sulbarkita.com—A total of 16 lecturers from various universities in Indonesia declared the establishment of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Education Lecturer Association (ADPAKI) on July 5, 2021. ADPAKI will become a forum for anti-corruption education lecturers to take more optimal roles in preventing corruption through education.
The ADPAKI declarators include Professor of the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering ITB Nanang T. Puspito, Professor of the Faculty of Law at Bengkulu Herlambang University, Professor of the Faculty of Law at Jenderal Soedirman University Purwokerto Hibnu Nugroho, Lecturer at Paramadina University Yusuf Kurniadi, and Dewi Ambarwati, Lecturer at Raden University. The ADPAKI declaration was witnessed by the Acting Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the Indonesian KPK, the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Chancellor of the Muhammadiyah University in Jakarta, and the heads of the anti-corruption extension community throughout Indonesia.
Acting Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the Indonesian KPK, Wawan Wardiana, stated that the KPK programs that have been heard by the public so far have only been enforcement and prevention. However, since 2021 the corruption eradication strategy has been added to three, namely education.
The KPK already has a Deputy for Education and Community Participation who will conduct anti-corruption education at all levels, from PAUD to Higher Education. "This shows that the KPK is not messing with this strategy," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Nizam, said it was important for universities to prepare students with an anti-corruption attitude and culture. So that a zone of integrity can be realized, free from collusion, corruption, and nepotism as well as other corrupt behavior. “I thank you for the initiative of the declarators to form ADPAKI. It is hoped that ADPAKI can build an anti-corruption spirit in higher education."
