Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- The Mamuju Regency Government through the Tourism Office held a camp on Karampuang Island for two days, namely on Saturday - Sunday, March 30 - 31 2019. The activity titled "Camping Seru" was intended to introduce tourism potential in Mamuju Regency.
The Regent of Mamuju, Habsi Wahid, who opened the event expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the event. According to him, efforts to build the tourism sector are in desperate need of the role of all parties, including Millennials, which are expected to encourage the promotion of a number of potential tourist attractions in Mamuju.
"Local governments have made the tourism sector one of the priority development sectors. Because it is realized, if tourism can be pushed into a tourism industry, it will have the prospect of increasing other sectors," he said in remarks.

In addition, the Mamuju Government sought to make tourism objects capable of bringing in rupiah and dollars brought by foreign tourists. "That can be done if we have been able to sell tourism potential in a good way," he said.
According to Habsi, this year there will be three tourist attractions that will be maximized, namely Tanjung Ngalo beach tourism, Tapalang Barat District, Karampuang Island, Mamuju District and Tamasapi waterfall which is also located in Mamuju District.
Specifically, Habsi stressed that for the development of the Tamasapi waterfall, his party has prepared a budget of five billion Rupiah this year for its construction. In fact, he described the Tamasapi waterfall as a new face that had never been imagined before by the people of Mamuju.
"The sideplan is already there and the budget is already there, we just live the realization of this tourist spot to be one of the destinations we will be proud of. "The concept combines the beauty of a natural waterfall with futuristic facilities," Habsi said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Mamuju Tourism and Culture Office, Usdi, said that all efforts made to develop tourism in Mamuju were inseparable from the support of Mamuju Regent, Habsi Wahid. "He continues to encourage us to continue working to develop the tourism potential of Mamuju," he said.
"Camping Seru" is a series of Mamuju tourism promotion activities conducted at Ngalo Beach, Tapalang Barat District, late last year. Now, the activity is continued on Karampuang Island, which is approximately 3 kilometers from Mamuju and its location can only be accessed using water transportation equipment.
The campsite presents high school students and a number of travelers. The activity was packaged in the form of an entertainment stage to a photography competition.
