Majene, Sulbarkita.com - The Majene Regency Government promises to accommodate all medical expenses for injured contingent athlete Majene in the West Sulawesi Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) III. One of them was Dika, 15 years old, a horse racing athlete who had to be rushed by a hospital in Makassar, South Sulawesi because of his deteriorating condition after falling in a match.
Majene Regent Fahmi Massiara said he had visited Dika. He hopes that the riding athlete from Jeneponto can recover soon. "We paid for the athlete's treatment and made a Health Insurance card," Fahmi said when holding a press conference at the Majene Regent's House of Residence, Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
Dika was forced to be referred to Makassar after experiencing a broken bone and head injury after competing at the Polman Sport Center Racecourse, Friday, November 15, 2018. From the incident it was revealed that Dika was a rental athlete from Majep Jenene.
Head of the Polman Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Medical Services, Anita, said that Dika had been rushed to the ambulance to the emergency room at the Polman General Hospital. But the injuries he suffered needed further treatment so he was referred to Makassar. "The patient entered through general guarantees because BPJS did not bear the disease caused by hobbies or match events," he said.
Fahmi admitted that Dika had been rejected by BPJS because of the injuries suffered due to hobbies or matches. However, the Majene Regency Government, said Fahmi, sought these obstacles to be overcome so that BPJS finally covered. "We have tried to connect with Insurance, but because it's too late, the list can't be done, but now there are also BPJS," Fahmi said.
