Polewali Mandar, Sulbarkita.com - A number of Polewali Mandar DPRD members claimed to undergo an inspection at the Corruption Eradication Commission office, Kuningan, Jakarta, last week. Examination related to allegations of giving gifts or money to the Polman DPRD.
One who claimed to be questioned was a member of the Polman DPRD from the Golkar faction Andi Raden Mulyo. He was examined by the KPK in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Wednesday 27 November. "This is related to allegations of giving money to fellow DPRD members," Andi Raden said through his telephone line on Wednesday, December 4.
Nevertheless, Andi Raden refused to specify the bribery object. He also denied that he was questioned because he received the bribe money. "It has nothing to do with the hammer tapping (APBD) in the Polman DPRD," he said. "I don't know who gave the money," he added.
Another Golkar politician, Faridudin Wahid, also claimed to have been summoned by the KPK on November 27. Unlike Andi Raden, Fariduddin gave a grid related to his examination. "What was asked at the KPK was the process of discussing the APBD then the process of traveling together with the executive," he said via telephone on Monday 2 December.
The former Chairperson of the Polman DPRD also claimed to be questioned along with a number of other DPRD members. "I was indeed called the KPK along with Raden Mulyo and Amiruddin (Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD Polman)," he said.
The Coordinator in Charge of the West Kalimantan KPK Representative, Mohammad Janattan, refused to comment on the examination of the Polman DPRD member. According to Janattan, the examination in his institution was closed. "Later, when a suspect is determined, it will be reported," Janattan said via Whatsapp message Monday, December 1.
KPK spokesman Febridiansyah also has not commented on the case. Until this news was published, the former Indonesian Corruption Watch researcher has not responded to short messages from Sulbarkita.com.
