Involved Theft, Two Majene Students Arrested

Majene, Sulbarkita.com-Police arrested ER (19, year) and AB (21, year), two students suspected perpetrators of theft in Majene, West Sulawesi. ER allegedly stole a laptop unit and AB allegedly stole a single mobile phone.

"They were arrested based on reports from the public," said Deputy Chief of Police Majene Kompol Muh. Arif in a press release on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

According to Arif, ER and AB were arrested separately. However, both of them found hiding in his friend's boarding house, in front of University of West Sulawesi (Unsulbar) campus, Baharuddin Lopa, Banggae, Majene.

Arif said ER stole a laptop in one of the boarding houses located in Lembang, Majene, on December 24, 2017 at around 18:00 WITA. "ER allegedly took time off to do the action," he said.

While AB picked up his cell phone left behind by his victim on a motorcycle dashboard, parked in front of one of the shops in Lembang, East Banggae, on Sunday 10 September 2017, at around 13:00 WITA.

Due to the crime, the two students had to postpone the process of education because languised in cell Mapolres Majene. They are threatened with Article 362 of the Criminal Code on theft with the threat of five years in prison. (Asr / TSM)
