Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- Regent of Mamuju, Habsi Wahid held a banqueting ceremony for the Chairperson of the Press Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Yosep Adi Prasetyo which was packaged in the form of a dinner together at the House of Mamuju Regent, Pucak Anjoro Pitu (Sapota), Rimuku Village, Mamuju District Monday, March 15, 2019 night. The dinner program which took place at around 8:00 pm was attended by dozens of journalists from Mamuju.
The Chairperson of the Press Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Yosep Adi Prasetyo in his remarks said that Mamuju is a region that has considerable potential for natural wealth. However, natural resources need to be developed to become an attraction for tourists in the country and abroad.
"From there the role of the media is needed, to expose and preach the natural wealth, for example culture, tourist attractions and historical heritage in Mamuju," Yosep said.
According to Yosep, journalists must have contributions to regional development through writing that can be a reference for outsiders. "If I come here next year, I must have found information about Mamuju through the reporters' writing," he said.
Responding to this, the Mamuju Regent, Habsi Wahid, considered that the presentation of the Chairperson of the Press Council was a motivation for the future development of Mamuju. "That is a reference for Mamuju," he said in a speech.
The dinner program, coupled with the gift of Typical Mamuju souvenirs to Joseph, namely Sekomandi cloth and silk sarongs typical of the Mandar Tribe. Likewise, vice versa, Yosef gave journalists' pocket books to the Mamuju Regent. The dinner program was closed by singing on stage in turn.
