Majene, Sulbarkita.com - There is something unusual at the Majene Regional General Hospital (RSUD), West Sulawesi, Friday, October 26, 2018. In one of the treatment rooms, it seems to spend children with cleft lip. They came from various parts of Majene for free operations.

Program Director and Area Manager Smile Train Deasy Larasati said, free cleft lip surgery was held thanks to his collaboration with Majene Hospital. Smile Train itself is a charity organization that specifically handles cleft lip conditions. "We do not stretch the number of participants," he said.

According to Deasy, Smile Train held this activity in various regions in Indonesia. Their goal is suffering from families who are not economically capable. In Majene alone there were 35 people who registered for free cleft lip surgery.

In its implementation, Smile Train does not only involve medical personnel from Majene Hospital. But also a team of surgeons and anesthesiologists from Jakarta.

After the surgery, on October 27 and 28 the team of doctors will monitor the patient. Regent Majene Fahmi Massiara appreciated positively the Smile Train social action in Majene. "With this operation, the confidence of the owner of the cleft lip will wake up well," Fahmi said while visiting Majene Hospital.
