Hamzah Oversaw Becak Scholar Invited by Dandim Majene

Majene, Sulbarkita.com — Muhammad Hamzah, 23 years old who was able to realize his dream of becoming a scholar with a pedicab inspiring the Commander of Kodim 1401 Majene, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Ragung Ismail Akbar. Hamzah was invited to Makodim 1401 Majene on Monday, November 19, 2018.

Dandim 1401 Majene, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Ragung Ismail Akbar said the invitation was a form of appreciation for Hamzah for his struggle to get a bachelor's degree. According to the Dandim, the struggle must be an example for other young generations. "So we really want to meet," he said.

Hamzah won a bachelor's degree at the Open University (UT) Majene on Sunday, November 18, 2018. The title was a considerable achievement for Hamzah because it was achieved through the results of pedaling a pedicab.

Upon this pride, Hamzah pedaled his rickshaw to the graduation location at the West Java Educational Quality Assurance Institution Building (LPMP), Rangas Village, Banggae District. On the pedicab, he also brought his mother, Nur Samiah, 63 years old, who had only been a traveling cake seller.

Dandim Majene promised to participate in encouraging the realization of Hamzah's dream to make a mobile library with his rickshaw. He was ready to invite the public to participate in supplying books to the library, "All the drivers of literacy in Majene will be ready to help, trying to supply books, to all communities, including Becar Mandar Library," he said.
