Majene, Sulbarkita.com --- Majene Regency Government's efforts to reduce urban waste problems are enhanced by establishing a 3R (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) waste management program at Labu Neighborhood of Labuang Subdistrict, Banggae District, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi.
Head of the Environment and Hygiene Agency (DLHK) Majene Djazuli Muchtar explained the 3R is Reuse-reducing, Reduce-Using and Recyce-recycling) the existing waste in the community or in TPS (Final Disposal). "The 3R TPS program is expected to be one of the solutions in reducing waste in urban areas," Djazuli said after inaugurating TPS 3R, Thursday, July 19, 2018.
Djazuli said the TPS 3R will be managed by members of the NGO (KSM) together with members of Volunteers Alert 86, a non-profit organization focused on empowerment programs. He hopes that these volunteers can work optimally in helping the government solve the waste problem.
Meanwhile, Volunteer Initiator 86 Aslan Sidang said the waste will be recycled so that the economic value such as handicrafts. For example key chains, mobile phone place, where the laptop, even become organic fertilizer. "In place we have prepared compost machines, press machines and sewing machines to recycle some types of garbage," said Aslan.
