Tangerang, Sulbarkita.com-- Bina Sarana Informatics University (BSI) lecturers provided communication management training to mosque teenagers at the Raudhatul Huda Mosque Youth Secretariat (Rismada), Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday 10 September 2023. Community Service Activities chaired by Andi Setyawan, M.Si, M.I.Kom and Tuty Mutiah, S.I.Kom, M.M, M.I.Kom, this aims to ensure that mosque youth are able to manage communication amidst the abundance of information along with the rapid development of information and communication technology.
Other BSI University lecturers, namely Fajar Muharam, S.I.Kom, M.M, M.I.Kom and Ken Norton Hutasoit, S.P, M.I.Kom also attended the Rismada communication management training. BSI University students, namely Virginia Sekar Nurul Tanzila and Nazwa Maulidya and BSI University management representatives, Ita Suryani, S.Sos, M.I.Kom were also present.
This community service activity received a good response from the Chairman of Rismada, Rafli Fadillah. Chief Executive of the Rismada Communication Management Training, Tuty Mutiah, said that communication in the digital era is increasingly complex, especially with the existence of social media which often creates communication problems in every circle, including mosque youth. "Therefore, literacy and communication management are important to overcome various communication problems in the digital era," said Tuty, who currently teaches at the BSI University Communication Science study program.
Chief Executive Andi Setyawan added that the regularity that occurs in an organization is an indication of functioning communication. According to him, it is impossible for people to move and work together in an orderly manner without involving communication. "Understanding communication itself is an important asset for organizational leaders in carrying out their role as people who direct human resources in the organization," he said.
BSI University lecturer as trainer in this activity, Fajar Muharam, added that the success of the training requires assistance to mosque teenagers. "We provide Communication and Organizational Management assistance to Rismada members," he said.
Meanwhile, another lecturer from BSI University, Ken Norton, said that to determine the increase in knowledge and ability of mosque teenagers to manage communication, a test was carried out by giving questions that needed to be answered. "Participants were also asked to fill out a questionnaire to find out how mosque youth responded during the training."
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Rismada, Rafli Fadillah, said that Rismada is a youth, social, national and religious organization for teenagers. "This organization is a forum for mosque youth to interact for mutual progress as the nation's next generation," he said. (*)
