Polewali Mandar, Sulbarkita.com - Armada Pustaka Mandar, a literacy community from West Sulawesi, held a Journalism and Photography Training in Nusa Pustaka, Pambusuang, Polewali Mandar on October 16, 2020. Various participants attended, one of them came from Mamuju Agricultural Quarantine Public Relations.
"A total of seven public relations staff were sent to attend this training," said Pusva Muchtar, the Coordinator of the Mamuju Agricultural Quarantine Public Relations Team in a press release.
Muhammad Ridwan Alimuddin, Chairperson of the Mandar City Independent Journalists Alliance (AJI) and caretaker of Armada Pustaka Mandar, was the main resource for the training. The presence of the Agricultural Quarantine Public Relations Team received a warm welcome from Ridwan.
"This is the first time Nusa Pustaka has received a visit from government agencies to gain knowledge, usually from among students and university students only," he said.
Pusva Muchtar added that this training was very important to increase the capacity of the Mamuju Agricultural Quarantine Public Relations team. This is because public relations as the spearhead of government in conveying public information must be competent, creative and have good writing skills, especially in the field of journalism.
"The training that we attended combines discussion methods and practice in the field. Although it is short because it is only two days, the participants are expected to be able to absorb and practice the knowledge they have acquired," he said.
In the training, the materials obtained by the participants included Basic Journalism Techniques, Photo Journalists, Public Relations Photography and Photographing Human Interest, and field practices that were evaluated by the speakers.
