Majene, Sulbarkita.com -- Head of the Department of Transportation, Regency of Majene Mithar Taala Ali apologized related to the complaint in one of the media that mentioned the harsh words addressed to Street Vendors (PKL).
"I'm sorry, I unconsciously said that. Earlier there was a statement that I was strangling the neck of the general's field, that was not true. It is not suffocating but I am attractive, "said Mithar when he met a crowd of action carried out by Street Vendors (PKL) with student organizations in the courtyard of the Majene District Regional Office, on Friday March 1, 2019.
Reported from makassar.tribunnews.com, Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Stalls and buildings that grab the sidewalk and the shoulders of the road are considered violating. As stipulated in Traffic Law Number 22 of 2009.
"It was really not very good to look, really dirty and it violated the existing rules, including the traffic laws," he explained.
Traders and Student Demonstrations
Street vendors (PKL) and students through demonstrations condemned the actions of the Majene Regency Government who were controlling the merchant stalls on last February 25, 2019. Initially the action took place peacefully, but the action was troubled because the Regent of Majene, Fahmi Massiara did not attend.
An hour later, Deputy Regent Majene, Lukman, was present in the midst of the crowd of protestors and apologized for the incident. Lukman was greeted by a shout of action. "Your submission is incorrect, sir," one of the demonstrators shouted in Mandar.
Suddenly the atmosphere heated up, both parties were involved in pushing each other between the action masses and security officers. But not long ago, the riots were stopped. Lukman invited mass representatives to discuss in the room of Majene Regional Secretary.
In his discussion, Lukman promised to follow up on all community aspirations. "We will find a solution to this problem," he said. Lukman also promised to visit the eviction site.
Meanwhile, General of the Field, Abdul Rahman Wahab, when confirmed after the afternoon action, claimed that he would bring more masses down if their demands were not fulfilled. "We will take action again and we make sure the masses will be more," he said.
One of the demonstrators, Agustinawati, 35, claimed to have hereditary her family opened a fish sale stall located in Pangali Ali Village, Banggae District, Majene.
"Since my ancestors sold there, why want to be evicted? even though the results of the sale of fish can provide for our family, "he said.
Agustina regretted the government control. According to him, enforcement should be carried out on the legislative candidates' Campaign Tool (APK) which reduces the beauty of the city. "Why are our stalls disciplined, why are we not APKs," he said.
