Penyerahan Label Halal Kepada Pelaku UMKM di Mamuju/HMS.MMJ

Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- As many as 45 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs in Mamuju Regency today officially hold halal label certificates for the products they market.

The certificate issued through the SME and Industry Cooperative Office, Mamuju Regency was symbolically handed over by the Mamuju District Head, Habitat Wahid to a number of MSME actors, in his office on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

According to Habsi, the submission of certificates is done in his office so that the process can be truly overseen. This is in order to minimize the potential for violations, such as the costs that are charged to the community. "Because the process is guaranteed free by the Mamuju Government," Habsi said.

Habsi added, after the MSMEs pocketed a halal certificate, it would certainly be a good capital to be able to complete all the requirements accepted in the modern market. "And what's no less important is that the product packaging must look attractive. For this reason, the Mamuju Government has prepared 5 packaging machines that have been distributed in several sub-districts, "he said.

Not only that, there is also a ready-to-operate large-scale packaging machine that is temporarily placed in the UKM and industrial Cooperative offices. "These are all our efforts to encourage MSME players to be able to compete in the modern market, while we also prepare regulations so that there is no reason why the super market does not accept our people's products," Habsi said.

One of the MSME actors Husnah admitted that she was very grateful to the Mamuju District Head for her enthusiasm and encouragement to small businesses. "Today we accept a halal label certificate, we should pay up to three million rupiah. But the regent's policy is free, in the future I am sure the products we market are able to compete, because the matter of taste will not be defeated," said the entrepreneur of chips made from endemic Sulbar fish (Penja Fish).

The Head of the Micro Business Empowerment Division, the SME and Industry Cooperative Office of Mamuju Regency, Nursiah explained that the process of issuing halal label certificates was quite complicated because it was verified by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). The number of MSMEs submitted is not all guaranteed to pass certification. "Because the MUI cannot be intervened," he said.

However, Nursiah claimed to be proud because for the West Sulawesi Province, the process of certifying the halal label that had been synergized up to the National level had only been carried out by the Mamuju Government.
