Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Majene Police, AKP Jamaluddin, said that the US was lured to participate in the tender for the Unsulbar campus project by his own colleague on behalf of HR with a budget ceiling of Rp 100 million. Before participating in the tender, the US was asked for a project management fee.

"The fee that HR allegedly requested to the victim was 10 million rupiah and one month later again asked for an additional 1 million rupiah," said Jamaluddin in a press release on Monday, August 31, 2020.

However, the time passed by the promised project has not come. Jamaluddin said the US victim had tried to contact the perpetrator to ask for a refund. Unfortunately, HR allegedly ignored the request. "So that in the end the victim reported the incident," he said.

Based on the report, HR was then arrested and threatened with being charged under Article 378 concerning fraud with the threat of imprisonment for 4 years. Also confiscated a number of evidences, such as a receipt amounting to Rp. 10 million and 1 copy of the transfer receipt Rp. 1 million.
