Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com — Member of the Press Council Jamalul Insan along with two of his men came to the Sulbarkita.com office on Jalan RE Martadinata, Tambayako, Mamuju, West Sulawesi, 10 October 2019. The arrival of the Editor in Chief of MNC News Channel was in order to fulfill the Press Council's duties to conduct factual verification of press companies according to the mandate of Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press.
Jamalul's arrival was welcomed by Managing Editor Sulbarkita.com Erisusanto and two bureau chiefs namely Muhammad Azhari and Haslan Syahril. During his visit, Jamalul re-checked the PT Mediaraya Nusantara Group documents which had been submitted to the Press Council since early 2019. "This process is part of our duty to meet the standards of the press company," Jamalul said.
Sulbarkita.com is one of eight local mass media in West Sulawesi that has passed the Press Council verification since April 2019. Of the eight mass media, only three of them are cyber media like Sulbarkita.com, the rest are print and television. The verification process in the Press Council goes through a number of advanced stages such as factual verification.

Sulbarkita.com Managing Editor Erisusanto is grateful for the visit of Jamalul and his entourage to Sulbarkita.com editors. He hopes the visit can be a trigger for Sulbarkita.com to become a professional press company.
"Sulbarkita.com is a press company that we pioneered really from below and does not have a single investor so there are certainly many shortcomings," Eri said. "But we are determined to become a professional cyber media in accordance with article 15 of the Press Law and Press Council Regulation Number 4 of 2008 concerning Press Company Standards."
