Mamuju, Sulbarkita.com -- Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Mamuju Regency, Suaib conducted a meeting and inaugurated the Mamuju Regency Regional Government Early Warning Team in the 3rd Floor Pattern Room, Office of the Mamuju Regent on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
Suaib confirmed 170 participants consisting of Regional Organization (OPD), Sub-District Heads, Village Heads and Village Heads throughout Mamuju District.
According to Suaib, in times of revolution faced with challenges, threats and disturbances that are concrete. Unlike the case in modern times with the advancement of information technology that is increasingly rapid at this time, the challenge is more to the invisible things.
"But it is more dangerous, because it can change the pattern of people's thinking, for example the spread of false news or hoaxes on social media, or utterances of hatred that will also influence the mindset and potentially become a real threat to the integrity of the nation," Suaib said in his speech.
Therefore, through this opportunity, Suaib invited all the community, especially the regional early alert team formation, to be able to increase awareness and the ability to detect potential security and order disturbances.
"Moreover, in the future we will hold a democratic party for elections. This should also be our concern, because in every political momentum there will certainly be dynamics that we must be aware of together," said Suaib.
In addition, Suaib appealed to the public not to undermine the democratic process which could disturb diversity. Because according to him, a party of democracy must be a place to elect leaders and representatives of the people, not a place to spread differences and hostility.
"And the most important thing is to use our suffrage on April 17. Do not choose (Golput) because the future of the nation and region that we love depends on our choices," said Suaib.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Inauguration Committee, Fajar said the purpose of the meeting and the inauguration of the Early Awareness Team was to encourage stability, security and the realization of sustainable development in the region and anticipate various forms of threats, challenges, obstacles and disturbances.
The formation of the Team was carried out based on the Domestic Regulation (Permendagri) Number 2 of 2019. The aim was to further increase awareness of any efforts or actions that were considered to threaten the nation's safety and integrity and to establish a pattern of supervision that began with the community.
